Yes — every Ricardo luggage set includes a carry-on spinner as one of the pieces. For 2-piece sets, this is paired with a large check-in. For 3-piece sets, the carry-on is joined by both a medium and a large check-in. The Brentwood Hardside 3-Piece Set with FastAccess™ Carry-On is a notable upgrade — its carry-on features Ricardo’s front-opening FastAccess™ panel for quick access to your laptop and essentials without opening the main compartment.
Hardside sets include Brentwood, Cambria, Laguna, Melrose, Montecito 2.0, and Rodeo Drive 2.0. These feature polycarbonate or polycarbonate-alloy shells that flex on impact and offer scratch resistance. Softside sets include Avalon rPET, Belvista, Malibu Bay 3.0, and Montecito 3.0. Most Ricardo luggage sets are expandable — including Avalon rPET, Brentwood, Cambria, Melrose, Montecito 2.0, Montecito 3.0, and Rodeo Drive 2.0. Expanding your bag adds approximately 1.5″ of additional packing depth, which is especially useful on the return trip home. Keep in mind that expanding a checked bag beyond its standard dimensions may push it over your airline’s size limit, so we recommend compressing the bag back before check-in. The Laguna set does not include a zipper expander.
Most Ricardo sets include built-in TSA-approved combination locks on all pieces. Sets with TSA locks include Avalon rPET, Brentwood, Cambria, Melrose, Montecito 2.0, Montecito 3.0, and Rodeo Drive 2.0. The Laguna and Malibu Bay 3.0 sets do not include built-in TSA locks. The Avalon rPET and Montecito 3.0 Softside sets are constructed from GRS-certified recycled polyester (rPET) made from post-consumer plastic bottles. The Avalon collection additionally received the 2025 Travel Sentry® Award for its sustainable construction. The Montecito 2.0, Rodeo Drive 2.0, and Malibu Bay 3.0 sets include an external USB-A charging port on the carry-on piece. To use it, place a portable power bank (not included) inside the bag, connect it to the internal cable, and charge your devices through the exterior port — no need to open the bag. The USB port is for charging only and does not connect to any built-in battery.
Every Ricardo luggage set is covered by a 10-year limited warranty on all pieces, covering defects in materials and workmanship under normal use. Damage caused by airlines, misuse, or normal wear and tear is not covered, but our service team can help facilitate repairs.
