Warranty

Each Ricardo and Stephanie Johnson product is protected by a specific warranty. Check your product hangtag to find the applicable warranty for your bag. The Warranty goes into effect from the date of original purchase at retail.

Products Covered by the Warranty

This warranty extends to luggage and other travel goods manufactured by Ricardo Beverly Hills ("RBH") and purchased directly from RBH or its authorized retailers and distributors. Luggage is designed to be used for travel by air, car, train, boat, and foot. This Warranty does not cover your luggage if you use it in a manner incompatible with its intended design.

Product Registration

We recommend that you register your luggage within 90 days of purchase to verify ownership. Some of our products require registration in order to benefit of our best in its class First Year Quality Guarantee, however, should you not wish to register, our standard Limited Lifetime Warranty goes automatically into effect from the date of purchase regardless of product registration.

Proof of Purchase

Please save your store receipt as proof of purchase. This will be needed to demonstrate your warranty coverage. Registering your product with our Product Registration program, your date of purchase and style number will be stored. If you no longer have your receipt, we may be able to verify the production year of your product by using the style number entered in the system at the time of registration and validating whether it was purchased from an authorized RBH retailer.     A. First Year of Ownership: Quality Guarantee

    (Requires Product Registration)

    Register your Ricardo and Stephanie Johnson luggage within 90 days of purchase to benefit from our first year of ownership quality guarantee. Register online at www.ricardobeverlyhills.com. Should you not wish to register, that’s OK. Your luggage is automatically covered by our Limited Lifetime Warranty (see terms and conditions below). This Quality Guarantee gives you peace of mind during the first year of ownership.

    THE QUALITY GUARANTEE COVERS:
    • Defects due to faulty materials or workmanship.
    • Damages caused by normal wear and tear (i.e. defective handles, zippers, locks, wheels).
    • Transportation damage (i.e. by airline, hotels, etc).
      THE QUALITY GUARANTEE DOES NOT COVER:
      • Damage caused by misuse, neglect, accidents, exposure to extreme temperatures, solvents, acids.
      • Cosmetic damage such as scratches or stained fabrics, dings, scuffs, color changes, or any other non-functional changes in the appearance of the product that occur during normal handling and which do not impair the functionality of the luggage. Aluminum luggage is particularly susceptible to cosmetic damage.
      • Incidental or consequential damages such as loss of the contents of a bag, loss of use, loss of time or similar expense, loss of functionality due to the consumer being locked out of their luggage.

        B. Limited Lifetime Warranty

        THE WARRANTY COVERS:
        • Defects due to faulty materials or workmanship, subject to normal conditions of use.
         THE WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER:
        • Defects caused by normal wear and tear. Moving parts (i.e. handles, zippers) and wheels will show signs of normal wear with use and may need to be repaired or replaced.
        • Damage caused by misuse, neglect, accidents, exposure to extreme temperatures, solvents, acids, water, or transportation damage (i.e. by airline, hotels, etc).
        • Damage caused by service (including repairs) performed by anyone not duly authorized by Ricardo Beverly Hills or its representatives.
        • Cosmetic damage such as scratches or stained fabrics, dings, scuffs, color changes, or any other non-functional changes in the appearance of the product that occur during normal handling and which do not impair the functionality of the luggage.         THE PERFORMANCE GUARANTEE DOES NOT COVER:
        • Damage caused by misuse, neglect, accidents, exposure to extreme temperatures, solvents, acids, cosmetic damage (i.e. scratches or stained fabrics), or incidental or consequential damages such as loss of the contents of a bag, loss of use, loss of time or similar expense.

        General Notes

        1. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights which vary from state to state.
        2. Some of our suitcases come with an integrated USB port and internally routed charging capability. The wiring components themselves are guaranteed by a one-year limited warranty, subject to normal conditions of use.

        NON-SUITCASE PRODUCTS

        (PERSONAL ITEMS, TRAVEL ESSENTIALS, AND ACCESSORIES)

        Our personal items (non-wheeled totes, backpacks, duffels), garment carriers, interior organizers (packing cubes, garment sleeves, shoe bags, laundry bags, toiletry bags, makeup bags, jewelry bags), and other accessories are protected by a one-year limited warranty. These products are designed to stay with you - or safe inside your suitcase - and therefore, since they won’t take as much abuse as your suitcase, they are covered under our one-year limited warranty.

        1-Year Limited Warranty

        THE WARRANTY COVERS:
        • Manufacturing defects.
        • Zippers that can no longer be opened or closed.
        • Fabric tears that render the product unusable.
        THE WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER:
        • Cosmetic damage such as catches in the fabric, stains, color changes, normal wear, and tear.

        ELECTRONICS

        POWER BANK

        1-Year Limited Warranty  

        Your Ricardo Power Bank is protected by Ricardo Beverly Hills 1-Year Limited Power Bank Warranty, under the terms and conditions of this warranty.

         THE WARRANTY COVERS:
        • The battery no longer holding a charge.
        • The battery no longer charging compatible devices.
        THE WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER:
        • Damage caused by use with a charging cord not provided by Ricardo or use with a charging cord not recommended in instructions.
        • Cosmetic damage or believed charging slowness.
        • Damage caused by misuse, neglect, accidents, exposure to extreme temperatures, solvents, acids, or water.
        • Damage caused by tampering or service (including repairs) performed by anyone not duly authorized by Ricardo Beverly Hills or its representatives.
