Ricardo Beverly Hills is seeking a Copywriter to join the Marketing team. This position's primary purpose will be to develop editorial copy for the Ricardo Group proprietary brands. The copy must maintain strict adherence to the brand DNA, marketing and creative direction. The Copywriter should be excellent at coming up with clever and original headlines and editorial copy, and versatile enough to work on a variety of projects at the same time. This person should be a creative thinker who can brainstorm ideas, develop concepts, and produce thoughtful, inspiring and engaging messages for all digital deliverables. He/ she is expected to craft copy on a variety of subjects, including Beverly Hills, California, and Seattle lifestyle as well as design, fashion, travel and overall lifestyle inspiration.

The Copywriter will also be responsible for providing strong project management support in the following ways:

  • Work in a close-knit creative partnership with management and stakeholders to generate exciting concepts, and ideas for the blog and social media
  • Write original copy for the Ricardo blog and execute blog posts in a timely manner according to GTM Calendar; Design layouts for blog (via Wordpress)
  • Write original copy for social media channels
  • Write original copy for WEB landing pages, online ads (display), and Email (Subject lines, Pre-header, Body Copy, Call To Action)
  • Write product copy and copy for product videos
  • Write copy for collateral materials
  • Create clever and original headlines and editorial copy around all brand stories
  • Amend, revise, or re-develop copy in response to feedback from brand leadership
  • Work on several concepts at once, under pressure and tight deadlines
  • Proof reading copy to check for spelling and grammar errors
  • Conduct Guest Blogger outreach and facilitating communication
  • Assist in project planning, organization, and workload management
  • Assist with content for various concepts and ad hoc projects

The Copywriter works closely with marketing stakeholders and other guest writers.

Desired Education, Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Journalism or Creative Writing preferred
  • 2 to 5 years experience writing for a variety of media channels
  • Passionate about the fashion, travel and design industry and current trends
  • General knowledge of copywriting fundamentals
  • Strong command of English; proficiency with a variety of writing styles
  • Ability to prioritize and work well under pressure
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Adobe Creative Suite / Photoshop and Word Press
  • Advanced knowledge and proficiency in social media channels
  • Great creativity and conceptual thinking a must
  • Management of a personal blog or corporate blog experience strongly preferred
  • Experience writing for variety of subjects including design, product, fashion, and lifestyle strongly preferred
  • Portfolio or blog site required for interview consideration
  • Candidates will be asked to complete a copy project in consideration for opportunity
